Therapeutic Massage Policy

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: my commitment to your safety and health at Therapeutic Massage in Joplin.

I have made these changes to help protect my clients and myself as we move forward during this time and I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the following policies for Therapeutic Massage in Joplin.

Therapeutic Massage will be requiring all clients to wear face mask coverings when they arrive for their appointment.  I too will wear a face mask that completely covers the nose and mouth at all times.

For Screening purposes I will be taking temperatures with a no-touch Infrared Thermometer before allowing entry into Therapeutic Massage per the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and President Trump's Recommendation.


Due to COVID-19, I will be temporarily limiting the number of daily appointments. The health and safety of my clients is very important to me.

I will be scheduling appointments with 30 minutes from the time a client leaves and another client will be allowed to enter the treatment room.  This time will be for hygiene and room sanitation protocols as well as personal re-set time, and to be able to stagger start times so no client arrivals or departures overlap.

Clients who are not currently receiving a service will be asked to step out in order to control the number of people within the treatment room and allow time for room sanitation.


It takes 10 minutes for some cleaning products to effectively kill pathogens. Given this fact, and the other protocols necessary, I believe it is prudent to allow 30 minutes before my next client enters the treatment room.


Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all my clients. I hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and request for you to please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations at this time.


Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals. Please be on time to your appointment.


Massage/bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition. If it is within the 24-hour notice period, the cancellation fee will be waived.
